Sutter Health 鈥� Pacific Medical Foundation Primary Care Expansion
暴走黑料 transformed three floors of an occupied eight-story 1970s office building into a modern ambulatory care destination for Sutter Health, strengthening access to coordinated outpatient services in San Francisco. Using a design-build delivery method with Boulder Associates, the 17,775 SF project required careful phasing to keep the building fully operational throughout construction.
Working within a decades-old structure, the team navigated hazardous materials abatement and unforeseen existing conditions. Laser scanning verified field conditions while robotic layout technology improved precision during framing, helping the team adapt quickly and maintain schedule confidence across all three phases.
Phase 1 delivered a 2,500 SF blood draw lab on the fourth floor featuring six draw stations, a processing lab and staff support spaces. Phase 2 converted the third floor into a 12,000 SF primary care center with 23 exam rooms, three exam-plus rooms, a procedure room and centralized reception, all designed to balance patient privacy with efficient team-based care. Phase 3 completed the transformation with a first-floor imaging department.
