Inside the Advocate Heart Institute and Outpatient Center Adaptive Reuse Project
The Advocate Heart Institute and Outpatient Center is a powerful example of how adaptive reuse projects can transform an underutilized space into something that benefits the community. What was once a fitness center is now a modern outpatient and surgical care facility with the project team’s use of innovative redesign, BIM coordination and collaborative project delivery.
Through the adaptive reuse of an existing building, we reduced construction waste and leveraged off-site fabrication to deliver a high-quality healthcare center.
